The Novosibirsk Siberia hockey team in the regular championship of the KHL lost at home to Metallurg Magnitogorsk with a score of 2:5. After the match, the head coach of the Siberian team, Andrey Yepanchintsev, spoke about the upcoming pause in the championship.
Siberia has a three-match losing streak, and has lost five of its last six home games.
The break in the KHL championship will last from December 15 to 22. In the first game after the break, Siberia will play at home against Lokomotiv Yaroslavl.

After the home defeat from Metallurg Magnitogorsk (2:5), the head coach of Siberia, Andrey Yepanchintsev, said that during the pause in the KHL championship, his team will do a big job on mistakes.
"We had a losing streak. We lost five out of six matches at home. We will grab the Soviet shovels during the break and start to clean up what we messed up in the home series," Yepanchintsev said.
The specialist noted that the team made many mistakes in the match with Metallurg.
"We made a lot of mistakes today, especially in defense. We made unforced mistakes, gave the opponent a power play. We need to work on this during the break," Yepanchintsev added.
Siberia is currently 10th in the Eastern Conference standings with 41 points.
