Bryansk Hand-to-Hand Fighters Won Gold, Two Silver, and Two Bronze at Russian Championships
Bryansk athletes performed successfully at the Russian Hand-to-Hand Combat Championship
Bryansk athletes won five medals at the Russian Hand-to-Hand Combat Championship, which was held in Kursk from 20 to 22 October.
The winners were:
- Gold: Maxim Ivanov (weight category up to 75 kg)
- Silver: Alexander Kazakov (weight category up to 65 kg), Anastasia Ivanova (weight category up to 55 kg)
- Bronze: Daniil Popov (weight category up to 60 kg), Alexander Bogdanov (weight category over 85 kg)
More than 300 athletes from 34 regions of Russia took part in the championship. The Bryansk team was represented by 11 athletes.
The Russian Hand-to-Hand Combat Championship is one of the most prestigious tournaments in this sport. The winners of the championship will represent Russia at the World Hand-to-Hand Combat Championship, which will be held in 2024 in Serbia.
