Voronezh residents are invited to participate in the "census" of wintering birds
The organizers of the action call on the residents of the region to take a walk in the park, and also to get acquainted with the birds near the house and tell about their observations.
The counting of wintering birds is taking place within the framework of the annual All-Russian environmental campaign "Birds of Russia". It is held on the initiative of the Union for the Protection of Birds of Russia and is timed to coincide with the International Birdwatching Day, which is celebrated in Russia from January 15 to 16.
Anyone can take part in the action. The organizers ask to take a walk in the park, get acquainted with the birds near the house and tell about it on the website "Ornithology forum of the Voronezh region": https://rusornithology.ru/forum/index.php?topic=19605.0
The rules of participation are simple:
- Choose a place of observation: in the park, out of town, on the balcony or near the feeder near the house.
- Count birds for at least 30 minutes.
- Distinguish birds by species.
- Specify the maximum number of birds of each species seen at the same time.
- Enter your data on the website "Ornithological forum of the Voronezh Region".
The organizers also ask participants to note the weather conditions, their location and the duration of the observation.
The participants will receive a certificate of the participant of the action "Birds of Russia-2023".
