Vadim Nemkov To Continue Fighting In Bellator, Despite Brother’s Transfer To Russian Promotion

Nizhny Novgorod native Vadim Nemkov, the former Bellator light heavyweight champion, does not want to fight in the Russian league, despite his brother’s transfer to the domestic promotion.

In an interview with the Russian MMA Union, Bellator commentator Andrey Rodkin expressed his opinion that Nemkov could have performed in the Russian league, where his younger brother, Viktor Nemkov, is currently competing.

However, Vadim Nemkov does not see himself in the national promotion, which was launched in early 2023. He stated that he is comfortable in Bellator and has no plans to move to another organization.

Nemkov has been part of Bellator MMA since 2017. During this time, he won the light heavyweight title twice. In 2020, he became the champion by defeating Ryan Bader. In 2022, he regained the belt in a rematch against the American.

Nemkov Jr. had one fight under the auspices of the Russian league. In December, he submitted Said-Magomed Vakhaev.
