Tolstoy, Chaliapin, and Yesenin to voice questions in Geographic Dictation

The largest educational action in Russia will be held on November 30 for the tenth time.

This year, the questions of the Dictation will be voiced by famous cultural figures, including Lev Tolstoy, Fyodor Chaliapin, and Sergei Yesenin. To do this, the organizers used fragments of records from the archives of the Russian State Library and the State Central Museum of Theater named after A.A. Bakhrushin.

Tolstoy will read a fragment from the story "Prisoner of the Caucasus", Chaliapin - from the poem "Dubinushka", and Yesenin - from the poem "Rus".

In total, participants will be offered 40 questions related to the history of geographical discoveries, the names of famous travelers, and the geographical features of Russia.

To write the Dictation, you can come to one of the specially organized sites or connect online. After checking the work, each participant will receive a personal certificate indicating the level of geographical literacy - from basic to high. In addition, according to the results of the Dictation, the organizers will compile a "Map of geographical literacy of Russians", which will show the weak and strong points in the knowledge of geography among the inhabitants of the country.
