“This year will be remembered for a lifetime”: a group of Tomsk conscripts were escorted to the service

On October 3, the military commissariat of the Kirovsky and Sovietsky districts of Tomsk held a solemn event dedicated to the autumn conscription campaign — the conscripts were escorted to the military service.

The guys gathered in the assembly hall of the military commissariat early in the morning, some of them with flowers, some with balloons. Next to each is a worried mother, father or beloved girl. Everyone wants to capture the moment of parting for a long memory. This takes pictures and videos. At parting, the guys gave their mothers flowers and promised to serve with dignity.

The military commissar of the Kirovsky and Sovietsky districts of Tomsk, Sergey Pesterev, congratulated the young people on the event and wished them to serve with dignity, be collected, disciplined, and obey the orders of their commanders.

After the parting speech of the military commissar, the conscripts headed to the bus that was supposed to take them to the assembly point in North Ossetia. According to Sergey Pesterev, 95% of conscripts will serve in the units of the Russian Guard. The remaining 5% will go to serve in the airborne troops, the ground forces, the air force and the navy. To the question of where they would like to serve, the guys answered differently. Some have already dreamed of serving in the marines. Others did not care at all. The main thing, as they noted, is to serve the Motherland.

After the guys boarded the bus, they were supposed to go to the North Caucasus, to the Rostov region. There they will undergo training for a month and a half according to a special intensive program.
