Sokol Loses Away to Ufa in First League Match
Sokol Loses 2-1 in Away Clash
In a closely contested First League match, Sokol fell to Ufa 2-1 in an away game. Despite a valiant effort, Sokol was unable to secure a victory on the road.
First Half Dominance for Ufa
Ufa started the match strongly, controlling possession and creating several scoring opportunities. Their efforts paid off in the 20th minute when Marat Shaymordanov found the back of the net, giving Ufa an early lead.
Sokol struggled to find their rhythm in the first half, with Ufa's defense proving to be a formidable barrier. The visitors had a few chances to equalize, but they were unable to convert them.
Second Half Comeback Attempt Falls Short
Sokol came out with renewed determination in the second half and managed to level the score in the 65th minute through a goal from Artem Korotkov. The goal gave Sokol hope of a comeback, and they pushed forward in search of a winner.
However, Ufa regained the lead just five minutes later when Ibragim Davlyatov scored to make it 2-1. Sokol continued to press for an equalizer, but Ufa held firm to secure the victory.
Sokol's Disappointing Away Form Continues
The defeat extends Sokol's poor away form this season. They have now lost four of their five away matches, with their only victory coming against Torpedo-2 Moscow in August.
Sokol will be hoping to improve their away record when they travel to Veles Moscow next weekend. A win would be vital for their hopes of finishing in the top half of the First League table.
