"Sinichkin Day": an ecological campaign has started in Khakassia
On November 12, the Day of the Titmouse (Parus) was celebrated in Russia, and the campaign of the same name started in Khakassia. Every year, it is initiated by the Khakass Republican Ecological Center.
The main goal of the campaign is to help wintering birds.
The campaign has been held in the republic for over 10 years, and every year more and more people take part in it. During the campaign, the organizers conduct various events aimed at attracting the attention of the public to the problems of wintering birds. They also organize feeding for birds, make and hang birdhouses, and hold competitions and quizzes on the topic of ornithology.
This year, the campaign will be held from November 12 to December 12. During this time, the organizers plan to organize a series of events, including:
- classes on making bird feeders and birdhouses,
- exhibitions of bird photographs,
- competitions for the best birdhouse and the best bird feeder,
- quizzes and games on the topic of ornithology,
- distribution of booklets and leaflets on how to help birds in winter.
The organizers of the campaign hope that it will help attract the attention of the public to the problems of wintering birds and encourage people to take part in their protection.
