Scotland v Croatia: Preview
Group D comes to a head on Tuesday
Scotland will face Croatia in a winner-takes-all clash at Hampden Park on Tuesday night as both nations bid to reach the last 16 of Euro 2020.
Steve Clarke's men head into the match knowing that only victory will do, while Zlatko Dalic's Croatia side can progress with either a win or a draw.
Scotland have yet to win a match at the tournament, having drawn their opening two group fixtures against the Czech Republic and England.
Croatia, meanwhile, lost their opening match to England but bounced back with a victory over the Czech Republic last time out.
Team news
Scotland will be without suspended duo Billy Gilmour and Nathan Patterson for the match against Croatia.
Ryan Christie is also a doubt for the game due to a knock, while Kieran Tierney is struggling with a leg injury.
Croatia have no fresh injury concerns, with Ivan Perisic and Marcelo Brozovic both expected to start.
Match preview
Scotland will need to attack from the off against Croatia if they are to have any chance of winning the match and reaching the last 16.
Clarke's men have been solid defensively in their two matches so far, but they have struggled to create chances at the other end.
Croatia, meanwhile, have shown that they are a dangerous team going forward, with Perisic and Luka Modric both in fine form.
However, Dalic's side have also been vulnerable at the back, and Scotland will be looking to exploit that weakness.
Prediction
This is a tough match to call, but I think Croatia will just edge it. They have more quality in their squad and they will be confident of getting the result they need.
Scotland will need to play the perfect game to win, but I think they will come up just short.
Predicted score
Croatia 2-1 Scotland
