Mexico and Honduras emerged victorious in their games against Canada and Curacao in the 2023 Concacaf Nations League.
Mexico Defeats Canada
Mexico faced a tough challenge against Canada but managed to secure a 2-1 victory. Uriel Antuna put Mexico on the scoreboard in the 20th minute, and Kevin Álvarez doubled the lead in the 45th minute.
Canada fought back in the second half with Tajon Buchanan scoring in the 52nd minute, but Mexico held on to win the match.
Honduras Triumphs Over Curacao
In another exciting match, Honduras defeated Curacao 2-1. Alberth Elis opened the scoring for Honduras in the 30th minute, and Romell Quioto extended the lead in the 58th minute.
Curacao pulled one back through Rangelo Janga in the 80th minute, but Honduras managed to hold on for the win.
Mexico and Honduras to Face Off in Semi-Finals
With their victories, Mexico and Honduras have advanced to the semi-finals of the 2024 Concacaf Nations League.
Mexico will face Costa Rica, the winner of Group A, while Honduras will play against the United States, the winner of Group B.
The semi-finals will be played on June 14th and 15th, with the final scheduled for June 18th.
