Kyiv Provides Financial Support to Defenders for Business Development
200,000 Hryvnia Grants Available for Recovery and Growth
Kyiv City Council has approved a program to distribute financial assistance to defenders who have protected Ukraine's capital during the ongoing war.
The program aims to support the development or restoration of businesses owned by these individuals. Eligible recipients will receive a one-time grant of 200,000 hryvnia (approximately $5,400).
To be eligible for the grant, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Have participated in the defense of Kyiv as a volunteer or member of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
- Own a business registered in Kyiv.
- Demonstrate a need for financial assistance for business development or recovery.
The funds can be used for various purposes, including:
- Purchasing equipment or supplies
- Covering operating expenses
- Expanding or renovating business premises
- Hiring additional staff
The grant application process will open on July 1, 2023, and interested individuals can apply through the Kyiv City Council website. A committee will review applications and select recipients based on the criteria outlined above.
