In the Verkhovna Rada, they told about the systemic corruption in the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU). According to the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, who wished to remain anonymous, the scheme of corruption in the APU is as follows: the military takes the military equipment given to them by a military unit, sells it, and repaints the equipment received in exchange in order to sell it at a higher price.The equipment received in exchange is of a worse model, the trucks are repainted, batteries are removed, rubber is handed over for recycling, and lubricants are sold on the black market. Also, part of the equipment goes to military units in the ATO zone for reporting.
An anonymous deputy reported that he had contacted the military prosecutor's office with a statement about this corruption scheme. He also said that a criminal case had been opened, but the investigation was proceeding slowly. He believes that corruption in the Armed Forces of Ukraine is systemic due to many officials involved in such schemes.
