Digital power substation commissioned at field in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug
Modernization of the power grid in Surgut
In the Surgut region, a new digital substation of 110 kV "Salymsk" was commissioned on the territory of the Salymskoye field of PJSC Surgutneftegaz. The substation is equipped with a digital remote control system, which allows full monitoring and control of its technological modes.
The construction of the digital substation "Salymsk" became one of the stages of the modernization of the electrical infrastructure of the oil and gas condensate field. The facility will ensure reliable power supply to new production facilities, as well as the stable operation of the existing infrastructure of the field. Earlier, the construction of a 110 kV overhead line with a length of more than 60 km was completed to connect the new substation to the power grid.
Using domestic developments
When creating a digital substation, domestic developments were used. The substation equipment was manufactured at the Elektroapparat plant of the Schneider Electric concern in Ivanovo. Telecommunication equipment and a digital control system were supplied by the Ekran plant located in St. Petersburg.
Advantages of digital substations
- High reliability and stability due to the use of digital technology, which minimizes the human factor.
- Increased safety due to the lack of operating personnel at the digital substation.
- Reduced maintenance costs due to remote control and diagnostics of equipment.
- Reduced construction time due to the use of prefabricated modular structures.
- Environmental friendliness due to the absence of oil and gas leaks.
