Cyprus national team won a match against the Lithuanians
The Cyprus national football team won 2-1 against Lithuania in a match to retain their place in the C league.
The match was played on 20 November 2022 at AEK Arena - Georgios Karapatakis in Larnaca, Cyprus.
Lithuania took the lead in the 18th minute of the first half, with a goal from Fedor Cernych.
Cyprus equalised in the 47th minute of the second half, with a goal from Andronikos Kakoulli.
And in the 50th minute, Ioannis Pittas scored the winning goal for Cyprus.
With this result, Cyprus finished fourth in Group C1, with seven points, and secured their place in the C league.
Lithuania finished bottom of the group, with five points, and were relegated to the D league.
The other two teams in the group, Greece and Kosovo, finished first and second respectively, and were promoted to the B league.
