Bakhtiyar Duyshobekov signs with DPMM FC
Former Russia international joins Brunei club
Bakhtiyar Duyshobekov has signed for Brunei club Duli Pengiran Muda Mahkota Football Club (DPMM FC), the club announced on Tuesday.
The 32-year-old defender joins DPMM FC from Russian club FC Khimki. He has also played for clubs in Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan.
Duyshobekov has been capped 12 times by the Russia national team. He was part of the Russia squad that reached the quarter-finals of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
DPMM FC are the current champions of the Brunei Super League. They will compete in the AFC Cup in 2023.
