Tobolsk, 12 July 2023 -
Today, Governor of the Tyumen Region Alexander Moore and Chairman of the Tyumen Regional Duma Sergei Korepanov paid a working visit to Tobolsk, during which they visited the Tobolsk Pedagogical Institute named after D.I. Mendeleev and the Tobolsk Industrial College.
Governor Alexander Moore spoke highly of these educational institutions, praising their facilities and teaching staff:
“I want to thank the entire team of the pedagogical institute and industrial college. You have a friendly and professional team. Moreover, you have excellent material and technical facilities that allow you to train highly qualified specialists. This is not just my opinion; employers also share it.”
The head of the region said that the Tyumen region faces the task of training specialists in all areas of the economy and providing the region with its “own” personnel. These educational institutions make a significant contribution to achieving this goal.
“Today, we can say with confidence that the achievements of the pedagogical institute are highly important for the entire Tyumen region. This is a university with a unique history, a graduate school for teaching staff with great experience, and specialists who have made a significant contribution to the development of education,” Alexander Moore emphasized.
The Governor also noted the role of the industrial college in the training of personnel for Gazprom Neft and Sibur:
“The industrial college is the only educational institution in the region that trains specialists for the oil and gas industry. It is one of the top 100 best educational institutions in Russia. The demand for its graduates is growing every year. This means that the college has chosen the right path of development.”
In turn, Chairman of the Tyumen Regional Duma, Sergei Korepanov, proposed awarding the status of an innovative platform to the pedagogical institute and industrial college. This, he said, will enable greater interaction between the two educational institutions and other universities in the region.
“This is a necessary step towards creating a single educational and innovation space and integrating science, education, and production,” Korepanov stressed.
In addition, he expressed gratitude to the management and staff of both educational institutions.
“You make a huge contribution to the future of our region. Thank you for what you do,” Korepanov concluded.
