On July 29, the Governor of the Tyumen region, Alexander Moor, and the plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Ural Federal District, Vladimir Yakushev, worked in Tobolsk.

Together with the head of the city, Maxim Avtyukov, they visited the Tobolsk Industrial Technical School named after A.N. Nikolaev and the Tobolsk Pedagogical Institute named after D.I. Mendeleev.

SIBERIAN "SKOLKOVO"

The reconstruction of the Industrial and Technical School is being carried out within the framework of the national project "Education". Almost 260 million rubles were allocated for this.

The renovated training workshops are equipped with the latest high-tech equipment. Everything is provided for the comfortable stay of students - from modern hostels to the canteen, where the quality of food was highly appreciated by Alexander Moor.

"For young people, all conditions have been created here for training and recreation, and this is very important," the governor said.

The head of the region emphasized that the industrial and technical school has a huge potential for training qualified personnel for the needs of the Tobolsk petrochemical cluster.

"This is a unique educational institution, a 'Siberian Skolkovo'," emphasized Vladimir Yakushev.

Alexander Moor, in turn, drew attention to the fact that such well-equipped educational institutions open up new opportunities for the development of the territory, because young people after graduation will be able to get a job in their hometown at modern high-tech enterprises.

TRAINING TEACHERS FOR THE FUTURE

The guests of Tobolsk also visited the Tobolsk Pedagogical Institute named after D.I. Mendeleev.

Rector Olga Karneeva spoke about the latest projects implemented by the university, including the creation of a modern educational complex on the basis of the Tobolsk Cadet Corps, the development of scientific research and innovative activities, and cooperation with leading universities in the country and the world.

The university also presented the participants of the meeting with projects developed as part of the implementation of the national project "Science and Universities": the Center for Molecular Biotechnology, the Center for Additive Technologies, the Department of Medical Technologies and Rehabilitation.

"Tobolsk Pedagogical University is a flagship of the educational system of the Tyumen region," said Vladimir Yakushev.

"The university has a rich history, strong scientific potential, and an excellent reputation not only in Russia, but also abroad. Here, teachers are trained for the future," emphasized Alexander Moor.

The head of the region awarded the employees of educational institutions with letters of thanks and valuable gifts.

It should be noted that about 80 million rubles were allocated for the renovation of the Tobolsk Pedagogical Institute from the regional budget.

After visiting educational institutions, Alexander Moor and Vladimir Yakushev held a meeting in the administration of Tobolsk on the readiness of the city for the new academic year.

The participants of the meeting discussed issues of improving the quality of education, creating a modern educational environment, and addressing the shortage of teaching staff.

The head of the region instructed the regional government to consider the possibility of increasing the salaries of teachers in educational institutions of the Tyumen region by 10% from September 1.

In addition, in 2023, the regional program "Zemsky Teacher" will be launched in the Tyumen region, which provides for the payment of one million rubles to teachers who come to work in rural areas.

The meeting was attended by the director of the Tyumen regional department of education, Alexei Ryzhkov, the head of the Tobolsk district, Leonid Oliferchuk, and other officials.
